Billionaires, or the super-rich as they are called, have long been an enigma to most people. But who is really at the top of this list? For four years in a row now Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos has topped Forbes’ annual ranking with his net worth topping $150 billion for 2018. However many experts believe that while these numbers may be accurate if you ask them how much money they possess it would not go over well and thus their real wealth might never truly be known!
7. Warren Buffett
In seventh place is Warren Buffett, an American investor and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, which is a multinational conglomerate. Warren Buffett is one of the most famous investors and CEOs in the world. He’s also a philanthropist, having donated over $46 billion to various organizations around the globe. His company Berkshire Hathaway owns many different companies all across America ranging from insurance providers to candy makers! He also owns 30% of the company, which is believed to be the part that gave him his fortune of around 103 billion dollars.
6. Larry Page
In sixth place is Larry Page, the CEO of Google and one of its co-founders, has had an interesting life that includes a stint as a student at Stanford University. In 1995 he founded his first company with fellow computer scientist Sergey Brin called “Google”.
He’s made headlines for being worth $105 billion dollars but don’t let him fool you – this guy doesn’t just sit around all day counting money! He also is heavily involved in philanthropy through The Larry & Sergei Foundation which was created to end poverty and promote prosperity by focusing on childrens’ education.
5. Mark Zuckerberg
Mark Zuckerberg found success with his social media site, Facebook. He currently owns 28% of the company and is worth an estimated $112 billion net wealth and his net wealth increased a lot in 2020. The site was probably used to communicate with loved ones during the pandemic and as a result, he saw his net worth increase by over 5%.

Bill Gates is one of the founders and former CEO, who from 1975 until 2000 led Microsoft to be a huge computer company. He retired in 2020 but continues as an advisor for his company. His net worth is estimated upwards $127 billion.
3. Bernard Arnault
Bernard Arnault has been ranked as one of the richest people in France with a net worth upwards $150 billion. He is an entrepreneur who founded LVMH, which owns subsidiaries such as Louis Vuitton and Givenchy. The company that he started now employs over 70,000 people across 170 countries worldwide! Arnault is considered to be the richest person in the fashion industry.
2. Elon Musk
Elon Musk has come a long way since he was bullied as a kid. He became the founder of both Paypal and SpaceX, two companies that helped shape modern life in many ways. Along with Tesla Motors, Elon is also one of the most influential people on Earth today from transportation to space travel! Today he is the CEO of both SpaceX and Tesla Motors. Elon Musk entered the Forbes list already in 2012, but it took until 2020 before he entered the top 10 of the richest.

After graduating from college, his first job out of school only provided him $12k per year – which didn’t go very far to pay for his newlywed wife’s law degree costs! But after founding Amazon at age 30 (for those who don’t know) it took barely three years before Jeff became a dollar billionaire by 1997- that same year they sold their company shares worth over 900 million dollars so today Forbes estimates Mr. Bezos’ fortune around 190 billion dollars.
